My Journey to Twickenham Stadium

10/5/2015

As most of you know I was the first classical singer to sing the National Anthem at Wembley Stadium four times in one year. Since then I have sung at various stadiums around the country however I always had a dream to sing at Twickenham Stadium and last month with the help of Marie Curie that dream came true.
The evening was held to raise funds for a charity close to my heart - Marie Curie, who provide care to people with cancer and the terminally ill.  I was asked to perform on the pitch, which was such an honour, in front of guests including talkSPORT’s Georgie Bingham, Bill Beaumont CBE, John Spencer and Roger Lewis.

Here is a little clip of me during my sound check at Twickenham Stadium!

Rugby World Cup - #CarryThemHome

10/3/2015

It's match day and with the clock ticking, fans wait nervously to see if the England Rugby team can make our dreams come true and win their match against Australia. A victory will get England through to the quarter final while a loss will bring with it shattered dreams for fans as their team are kicked out of contention for the Webb Ellis Trophy!

As I watched the match last week, enduring the same feelings of joy and devastation as so many loyal fans across the country - and while screaming at the TV, I decided that the best way I could show my support would be to record the iconic anthem "Swing Low, Sweet Chariot" to unite with one voice and show our boys we are all behind them.

So I met up with my fantastic musician/producer friend Dave Marks and joined him in the studio to see what we could record for you... and here are the results:
